BR Star serves as the mascot of our school.
Because the Congressional Medal of Honor received by
Bobby Ray is formed in the shape of a star, it was decided  to make the star the symbol of Bobby Ray Memorial Elementary.

School Name
Bobby Ray Memorial Elementary School is named as a tribute to all veterans. David Robert “Bobby” Ray was killed at Phu Loc, Quang Nam Province in Vietnam on March 12, 1969. Because of his heroic efforts to save the lives of his fallen comrades while under heavy fire, Ray was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor becoming the only Warren Countian ever to be so honored.

School Colors

Since Bobby Ray served as a hospital corpsman, 2nd class in the U.S.Navy, navy and white represent the colors of Bobby Ray Memorial Elementary School.
