I am wife
to Tyree Smith, a sixth grade teacher at WCMS, mother of three
sons, and “Grammy” to 6 beautiful grandchildren.
My Three
Sons:

DeKalb Telephone Cooperative, children: Crosley and Elijah.
Alan
is a
science teacher at WCHS and a basketball coach at WCHS,
married to Kristina Day Smith, who is a nurse

at Riverpark Hospital, children: Kaylee, Jackson, and Elsa.
Ryan is teaching math and coaching at Warren County
High School and is married to Candace Dunn Smith, who is an ultra-sound

I began my college life at Martin College in Pulaski, TN, and then I
transferred to Tennessee Tech where I graduated in January 1969. I began teaching
in Smithville in 1970, but took off in 1972 to stay
home with my children until they were in school. I taught at
North Elementary for one year, before going to Eastside in 1981 where I
stayed until Bobby Ray opened in 1995. I have been here at
Bobby
Ray since then.
I love
watching children learn and seeing the excitement in their eyes as
they discover new things. I have also enjoyed teaching children of
some of my former students in class.
