Welcome to Kindergarten! Be on time. Our school activities begin at 7:45. If your child arrives after this time, they must be checked in at the office by a parent or they will be counted absent. First day of school. Arrive on time, but don't linger. Your presence may distract from this new and fascinating world. Dress your child appropriately. Kindergarten activities can sometimes be messy. so consider this when dressing your child. Also, the playground and gym require shoes that are comfortable to run and play in. We take regular bathroom breaks, but accidents do happen. If you think there's a possibility your child may have a bathroom accident, it's a good idea to send a set of extra clothes in a zip lock baggy to be left at school. Lunch. Kindergarten classes begin lunches around 10:25. Lunches are served in the cafeteria for $1.25 a day. However, if you know your child is going to be buying lunch regularly, you may pay for a week (or several weeks) in advance. This is placed in their accounts to be used as needed. Whenever sending lunch money to school, please place in an envelope labeled with your child's name. Dismissal. Our instructional day ends at 12:20. Parents who pick their child up at this time must check them out in the office. If your child stays all day, pick up time is 2:40. You may drive around the horseshoe drive where your child will be watching for you. The teacher in charge of car loading will be sure your child gets safely to your car. If your child will ride a bus home, be sure to let your child's teacher know the bus number. If you don't know the bus number, you can call the bus shed at 473-8013. If there is ever a time when there is a change in the way your child gets home, please let your child's teacher know in writing.
